About us

Owner Douglas Armstrong has more than 16 years in construction supervision, including accurate takeoffs, estimating, budgeting, contracting, purchasing, and invoicing. He is experienced in full on-site construction management and land development; effectively schedule, monitor, and inspect all work from start. In addition, he has managed 130 employees working on 11 separate crews. Mr. Armstrong has implemented safety policies including: 100% Tie-off & Elaminator Program with Owens Corning and with Owens Corning Notable Accomplishments. A recent job includes coordinating erection and other trades at the Dulles Jet Center construction project to get the job back on schedule and completed and design-manufacturing coordination. Him and his company also coordinated the erection completion on a Spectra Project in Eliot, and Westbrook, ME for J. L. Allen, and developed an estimating spreadsheet for labor and building sales which is still in use today. In addition to developing a marketing and sales programs which propelled company to over 27 million dollars in sales. They have directed the completion of several BJ’s box stores in the Greater Atlanta area and Bowie, MD; coordinated a 14 million dollar renovation for Ploy Bond in VA; and a Kimberly Clark expansion project in Loudon, TN, consisting of a 60,000 sq.ft. plant addition with multiple eave heights up to 85’. The company worked on a new construction plant for American Spandrel Pipe in Columbia, SC consisting of 250,000 sq.ft. multiple building project with 62’ to 110’ eave heights. Additional projects include the Sara Lee Warehouse in Winston-Salem, NC and the NC Pepsi Distribution Center in Raleigh, N.C.

 

 

 

 

 Matt Cratty graduated from Howard High School of Technology in 2009 in New Castle, DE. Currently working at Summit Steel Inc., as a miscellaneous steel and structural steel detailer; 3 years experience working as a detailer on SDS2. Assistant Project Manager of Bayhealth Medical Center located in Dover, Delaware. Recently became QAMT of AISC for Summit Steel Inc. Basic experience in take-offs and estimating, experience as a shop laborer/ fitter.
